Turkish major unmanned aerial vehicle producer, Baykar, successfully tested a new model combat drone, Bayraktar Akinci B, on Tuesday.
"Bayraktar Akinci B met the sky!" Baykar said on Twitter,
While the previous model, Akinci A, has 900-horsepower (hp), the new model has 1,500-hp via two 750-hp engines.
Baykar’s chief technology officer Selcuk Bayraktar said Akinci B is the most powerful and combat-capable armed UAV in its class in the world.
General manager Haluk Bayraktar said Baykar completed export agreements with two countries.
After Akinci B, 1,900-hp Akinci C model will soon be in the skies, he added.

In a new milestone, Turkey’s most advanced and sophisticated drone has conducted an unprecedented flight that saw it departing from northwestern Turkey and landing in Azerbaijan.

The test campaign for Baykar’s indigenously developed KEMANKEŞ 1 AI-powered mini cruise missile is progressing successfully. In last week’s live-fire trial from a Bayraktar AKINCI HALE UCAV, KEMANKEŞ 1 scored pinpoint hits on airborne targets, destroying ground targets with the same accuracy.
Bayraktar TB3, the first UCAV in global aviation history to autonomously take off and land on a short-runway vessel, achieved a major success on the Distinguished Observer Day of the SEAWOLF 2025 Exercise. Taking off consecutively from TCG Anadolu cruising in the Mediterranean, Bayraktar TB3 UCAVs carried out two salvo strikes against land targets with direct hits.
